The multi-turn electric flat gate valve is a type of valve that is driven by an electric actuator and requires multiple rotations of the valve stem to complete the opening and closing operations. It is mainly used for on-off control of media in pipelines.
Structural Composition
It is mainly composed of the valve body, valve disc, electric actuator, and transmission mechanism.
The valve body serves as the main structure of the valve, which is used to house the valve disc and connect with pipelines.
The valve disc opens or closes the flow passage through vertical movement.
The electric actuator receives external control signals to drive the built-in motor to operate.
The transmission mechanism converts the rotary motion of the electric actuator into the linear motion of the valve disc.
Working Principle
Users send "valve opening" or "valve closing" commands through the control panel, PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) or remote control system. The electric actuator then activates the motor, which drives the valve stem to move upward or downward after speed reduction via gears or worm gears. This movement drives the valve disc to lift or lower, thereby realizing automatic opening or closing of the valve.

Nominal diameter: Commonly ranges from DN50 to DN2000, suitable for small, medium and large-sized pipelines.
Pressure rating: Includes PN10, PN16, PN25, Class 150, Class 300, etc.
Applicable temperature: Varies according to the materials of the valve body and seals, generally ranging from -29¡æ to 425¡æ.
Power supply voltage: Multiple options are available, such as AC 220V, AC 380V, DC 24V, etc.
Main Features
It has automation functions, supporting remote operation and automatic running, and can be integrated into systems such as DCS (Distributed Control System) and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition).
Equipped with limit switches, it can accurately feedback the "fully open" or "fully closed" status of the valve.
It offers multiple control modes including on-off type and regulating type.
The actuator has excellent protection performance, usually with an IP65 or higher protection rating.
Built-in torque overload protection device to prevent damage to the motor or valve.
It is also equipped with a handwheel or clutch mechanism, which allows switching to manual operation in case of power failure or malfunction.
Application Fields
It is widely used in fields such as electric power, petrochemical industry, water treatment and supply systems, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning), metallurgy and steel, papermaking and food industry. It can be applied to the on-off control or flow regulation of main steam pipelines, crude oil transmission pipelines, water intake pump stations of waterworks, blast furnace cooling water systems, etc.
